Released
the pressure that makes lava also makes diamonds and my the heart is reborn
the light shines forth and pushes the marine layer away with its warmth
a gentle yet firm loving hug envelopes me
every moment lived in purpose contains the energy of the sun compressed into this life
that energy multiplied by the fifty times circled around the source
I take from this, today’s power and channel it outward
to touch a life, a heart, a mind makes it all worth
the crucible I crawled, scraped and clawed out of
I see my power and I am the light

This was my first poem since high school, and it poured out of me effortlessly. I wrote it after the release of the Coffee & Change episode 151. I had the privilege of hosting the actual host, Mr. Bill Kirst (EVERWARD), on Substack. I am incredibly grateful to Bill for the trust he placed in me to help him share his story.
